报告人简介:
Prof Zhiliang Zhang, founder of NTNU Nanomechanical Lab since 2006, member of the executive committee of European Structural Integrity Society (2010-2018), and member of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences since 2009, has been the supervisor and co-supervisor of in total more than 31 PhD and post docs, and 38 master students since 2005. Before being appointed as a full Professor in Mechanics and Materials at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2003, Zhang had worked at SINTEF Materials Technology, Trondheim, for 9 years, and played a central role in building up the competence of the Fracture Mechanics group to an international level. Prof. Zhang was elected as the executive chairman of the 20th European Conference on Fracture (ECF20) 2014 by the Council of the European Structural Integrity Society (ESIS). About 600 participants over 43 countries attended the ECF20. Prof. Zhang started his research in nanomechanics and nanotechnology when he was a visiting scientist at Harvard University and MIT in 2000 and 2001. Currently he focuses on fracture mechanics and nanomechanics by using combined experimental and multi-scale computational simulation approach. During the last 10 years Prof. Zhang has been the project leader for 14 projects funded externally with a total budget about 75 million NOK (10 million USD). He has published about 180 scientific papers (100 journal papers and 80 conference papers) with the latest ones published in top journals such as Nature Communications, Nano Letters, SMALL, Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS), Journal of Mechanics and Physics of Solids (JMPS), Polymer and Acta Materialia.
